Day 5: A gamer without Games. June 25, 2008
Posted by caldi-chan in : Gaming, On blogging, Uncategorized, general musings , add a commentI’ve come to realize that, the music on this laptop totally sucks, yet I am enduring it. Why? Because it’s better then what my mother would listen to. Actually, is all seriousness, I think it’s because it’s actually keeping me awake enough to actually write.
Which is my saving grace, from total and complete boredom. I’m toying with poetry again, and even starting a fanfic or even an original story. So the betting poll is out on that. Fanfiction based off of a video game, or anime, or even a story off the top of my head. It would in essance occupy my time, a heck of a lot better.
If not writing, maybe pick up my artistic side again. I’m not sure. I really have to think about it some more. In the mean time I have the movie. National Treasure: Book of Secrets calling my name.. That is if my daughter will be kind enough to let me use the dvd player in my mothers room.
It seems that this laptop hates this particular DVD.
One thing is certain, once I get back on my feet, and into my own apartment the first thing I’m doing, is going to just sit down and work on an amv idea I’ve had stuck in my head for quite a while now.
Mom plays Guitair Hero at Shilo Army base. March 22, 2008
Posted by caldi-chan in : Uncategorized , add a commentThe humor and hilarity for me today was my mother playing Gutair Hero.
It is surprising to see my mother play this game as she laughs up-roaisly and squeeling when the intro guys telling her when she sucks. I guess it doesn’t help that my mother has been drinking wine…
It has proven to be the highlight of my day so far.
RP in World of Warcraft. March 18, 2008
Posted by caldi-chan in : Uncategorized , add a commentWhen I first started playing WoW I got addicted to the quest runs, and just killing things. It was fun working on my skills, and it was great. All was good with the world.
But then, I got bored.
I happened to find a group of RP’ers ranging from 15-40 in the Silver Moon City Inn “Wayfarers”. I sat around on my my new mage and watched for a few days, and then before I knew it I was involved, I was having fun.
It’s sucked me in.
I’ve made some friends with great people. Some are exceptional RP’ers, and with the /roll system when grouped the RP battles are sound and fair.
It’s an interesting thing to experiance. So now I play and quest, and RP from time to time.
Ofcourse this is only late at night. The rest of the time? I’m off line, and doing the Mommy thing.
It’s a strange world, that lies within world of warcraft.

The new Tower. It is shiny. January 20, 2008

So this gamer chick has finally done it. She has bought a new computer. Granted the actual adventures in getting it were amusing at best.
It started out with getting home Friday, and being impatient. See Tia didn’t want to go outside with me to get it, so I had to get a babysitter. This is where good ol’ Swan, my partner in Anime Convention crimes comes into the picture.
It took about an hour, because he missed the 12:30pm bus from his place of residence to mine. Upon arrival I gave him instructions on how to keep Tia amused. In this case, it was the simple rm files of Sailor Moon Stars for Tia. (She’s a big moon fan, and considering I have everything except a few eps of S and Supers, it’s a given.)
I grabbed my daughters sled, dressed as warmly as I could and was on my way. The store isn’t that far at all from where I live. Just have to cross one street and walk down the strip mall to get to it.
When I got in, the guy I talked to last Tuesday didn’t recognize me right away, so a simple prompting of “I called last Tuesday looking for a system that could play wow.” He recognized me then and we started to go through the towers, based on price and specs. I had a $444.00 dollar budget.
We finally settled on a nice tower which is taller then my old one. Before tax it was around 2 hundred, bring it to around 3 hundred. I snapped it up. It looks really nice. Fits on my desk nicely. I have a good long warenty on it as well.
Getting it home was a pain though.
Due to snow there was constat risk of the sled I had it strapped to tipping, so I had to bend over butt in the air, and push the thing home.
Needless to say I did get it home alright.
But my hands were unbelievably numb.
A new computer in the future? January 14, 2008
Posted by caldi-chan in : Uncategorized , 3commentsSo I found a store that may very well, have what I need in a computer.
Now I already have a good monitor and and good accesories to go with it. I just need a fairly good new Tower that will let me watch You tube, play wow, and let me watch my anime in peace.
Well did some research with a friend, aparently there’s a store not far from where I life that actually deals in parts PRE Vista.
Which is a good thing, seeing as Vista is as buggy as hell, and I hates it with a passion.
Anyways, the guys at this store are trustworthy, and if I can work out a payment plan with them where I pay money when I can I can rent the system till I own it. Which in and of itself is better in the long run. I would no longer have to fight with this current home brew and I would be happy enough to not complain anymore in regards to computer issues.
The question is, do I really want to. lol. XD
I’ve come to a realization. November 29, 2007
Posted by caldi-chan in : Uncategorized , add a commentI spend too much money on Manga.
I love reading them, and I love writing my thoughts on them. I love the stuff I do in regards to Manga as a whole.
However I’m dirt poor nine times out of ten. I have no idea why, but this honestly amuses me.

The image says it all. That’s all that really needs to be said.
However to explain how this lil gem came to be was a simple conversation about Sumomo’s seemingly unstable personality.
Then Windows Vista came into it, and I being the crazy one went on a search for images and came up with the result you see to your left.
I’m much too amused by this.
I do not know what others will say about this, however regardless I put it up to share with the masses.
Feel free to nab and share with the rest of the Internet. So long as proper credit is given.
That is really all I can say on the matter.
November Thoughts. November 12, 2007

So it is now November.
This is the month I was born in. I’ll be 26 this month. Which may or may not come as a suprise for the fellas who also have wotg blogs.
I know Migo never knew how old I was till recently, so I just know most if not all the other guys on the WOTG team do not know my age. Not that it bugs me, age is but a number and it doesn’t show who I am as a person. It just shows how many years I’ve lived since I was brought into this world.
I broke 12,k in my Nano project on Friday and have taken the weekend off to give my mind some breathing room. After that, I will go back to the typing grind and play the game of catch up again.
However, this brings me to an interesting subject. This past Saturday I was in a gathering of friends, which involved Pizza, and the DVD set of “How I met Your Mother.” Keep in mind here, these people happen to know a guy we will simply call Twitch.
Now Twitch is a man all on his own. His story is long, and filled with geekery personified. Well at least it would be from the point her met and became friends with Mak. Who is the boyfriend of one of my friends.
Regardless, Twitch is Twitch. He is a good man, and has done things I am jelouse of, yet I cannot find it in my heart to hate him. It is hard to explain. Now, here is the kicker. He is the Manager of two Lil’ Ceasers Pizzarias.
Knowing this, people can only wonder what I am driving at. You will soon find out. This past gathering involved pizzas, and very diffrent pizzas then are the usual.
Imagine a stuffed crust Pizza.
Now take Bacon Crumble.
Switch that in, and take the cheeze out. You will have Mak’s most favored pizza in all the world, and it is an ever changing pizza and has yet to be perfected.
Next take another stuffed crust pizza. Toss in every veggie you can think of, and toss them in the crust after stir frying them. Doesn’t sound very good… However, it in fact actually is. Believe me I tried it.
Where do I find these people?
You can Blame Nightmoon. She met them through Mak. Her boyfriend, and I enjoy their company when I do get to hang out with them. I can only shake my head in wonderment. These people are great in so many ways, yet on the outside looking in they’re just your standard geeks.
I think I found … Home. Or at least a home with these people. They accept me for who I am, and it is nice for a change.
Due to bodily functions: Manitoba Comic Con was a no go. October 27, 2007
Posted by caldi-chan in : Uncategorized, general musings, parents , add a commentYeah my partner in convention crime got sick friday, and then when we thought we could go for at least a few hours, his dad was late, today.
There was talk about going to it before, the JAAW dance, but honestly?
I’m not up for that. Going to Comic Con, when the good stuff is bound to be gone. So it’s just a halloween dance which I was signed up for, without really being *asked*.
I will however, exercize my right to leave early and go to moms if I so please.
This weekend was a bust.
Next Monday will have a new Manga Beat.
