I bought two cloud servers some time ago. Before now, I had no idea what to do with the second server. I have one set up as a cloud server…for some thing that I have no idea of yet. This second server, however, is so I can learn BSD. Learning Linux is good for you, yes, but there is no reason I should not learn BSD as well. That and it give me extra exposure to the command-line interface for both Linux and BSD, which is beneficial.
Granted, this is less for professional purposes than selfish gains. I have always wanted to learn BSD, but it isn’t quite as supported as Linux for different programs that I use daily. So, now I have a working install and will be using it as a learning tool…and I just realized that I had forgotten to reset the password for the accounts.Tags: BSD, cloud server, linux
