Nate Grey – otherwise known as X-Man – is back on the pages of Dark X-Man. How – I’m not quite sure. All I do know is Norman Osborn’s X-Team isn’t too happy about an Omega-level mutant out in the open like this, and sets out to take him down.
Deadpool continues to light up the X-Books in issue #18, which ties into their newly-christened home on “Utopia.” Deadpool wants to be an X-Man. Cyclops doesn’t want to touch the Merc with a Mouth with a ten mile long stick, so Deadpool sets out to prove himself – by targetting a politically-sensitive pawn of Norman of Osborn – who just happens to be the father of one of the newest X-Men.
Biker Zombies. Gun Nuns, the Son of Satan, oh yeah, and a bunch of guys with flaming skulls. Ghost Rider: Heavens on Fire #5 continues the epic team-up between Johnny Blaze and Denny Ketch, but the weirder things get, the more tempted I am to pick it up.
Invincible Iron Man #21 finds Tony Stark well . . . not all that invincible. In fact, he’s downright vulnerable after being chased halfway across the globe by Norman Osborn and forces of HAMMER. Now his friends are desperately trying to heal him – both physically and emotionally – and they’ve even brought in his former co-Illuminati Dr. Stephen Strange to help.
New Avengers Annual #3 picks up where The List – Avengers left off, with Hawkeye in custody and every other New Avenger in the cross-hairs. The main attraction is Brian Michael Bendis’ fan-favorite character Jessica Jones stepping out from the sidelines as Mrs. Luke Cage, and if the cover is to believed, putting on the Jewel suit once again for an exciting new chapter in her life.
And lastly, X-Men Noir: Mark of Cain finds the survivors of X-Men Noir’s hard-boiled conclusion in a race against time to find the ancient treasure of a mercenary named Cain Marko. Expect more twists, turns and dangerous curves than you can shake a stick at in this original new re-imagining of the M.U.
