Ah yes, the “2 Girls 1 Cup” phenomenon. If you’re reading this and don’t know what that refers to… count yourself very, very lucky. And I’m not even trying to be facetious when I say that - you are, indeed, very very lucky if you have no idea what that title refers to!

As far as the “_____ Movie” series goes… I’ve never seen one, myself, so I can’t comment. I do confess an appreciation for the Zucker parodies of the ’80s and early ’90s (Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Hot Shots!, &c), however…

There’s nothing wrong with the Zucker movies — they were hilarious, and actually relied on jokes to make you laugh. Airplane! is still one of the funniest movies ever made.

But the ____ Movies suffer from Family Guy syndrome by making references to other movies without ever making a joke. And they’ve gotten progressively worse, as Disaster Movie’s trailer was just painful to suffer through.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQw5DLWXVEs There’s the YouTube of the trailer… and check out the comments, I’m definitely not alone in my line of thinking.
