I know it’s not really geek related, but I wanted to let you all know that St. Patrick’s Day is NOT on March 17th this year, but rather on March 15th. The Vatican moved this holiday because it would have conflicted with Holy Monday, which falls on March 17th. The story linked from this article says that it may be moved next year as well, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
This IS NOT meant to be a religious post in any form. We just want you all to know that it’s been moved so you can celebrate accordingly. In this case, accordingly could mean on the 15th and 17th, two St. Patrick’s Days for the price of one, that’s all up to you of course. One of those things that should probably be mentioned before it happens instead of after the fact.
