This is something I’d been meaning to do for some time, both put up a downloads section and get to work on some WordPress plugins and widgets. Today I finally managed to do both at the same time. Using Giulio Ganci’s very helpful Downloads Manager plugin I set up a downloads section for Way of the Geek.

Since I’d used a plugin to make this happen, I thought it only right I give one back. So I put together a plugin based off the widget we use on our site. It’s pretty basic right now, but I’ll be building onto it as time goes on and I’ll probably upload it to the Wordpress Plugin Repository as well. I just wanted you, our loyal readers, to have the first crack at it. So, if any of you have a Wordpress blog and you’d like to get rid of the login link for a spiffy front page form, feel free to use this plugin free of charge.
