As well as showing off Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2, this year’s Microsoft GDC keynote officially introduced Gears of War 2, which most of us with functional gaming lobes already knew was coming in our sleep, underwater and with the lights off. Looks like both will be shipping in 2008 with NG2 set to hit stores in June, while GoW2 will be MS’ holiday cash cow, showing up in November.

Consider Gears of War to be the new Halo, which means we’ll probably be playing GoW3 on MS’ next system.
