According to Slashdot Microsoft will be forcing Internet Explorer to update to IE7 through Windows Server Update Services. It doesn’t seem to matter if you had previously updated to IE7 either. Microsoft claims the update is being forced due to “security concerns”. This update will start on February 12th, it is unclear if this update will be forced on home users as well as corporate machines.
Sysadmins wishing to keep their systems from updating to IE7 click here for an article that has a way to get around the update.
