CNET has put out an article detailing five ways you can make your PC look like a Mac. They’ve named this five-parter “Mock OS X”, one can only hope lame puns aren’t part of this experience that will probably give every Mac fanboy on the planet nightmares for the next few months.
These aren’t really so much tips on how to make Windows look like Mac as they are links to applications that will help achieve the same result. Things like ObjectDock, Konfabulator, & FlyakiteOSX, which are all linked in the aforementioned article, will help you forget your running Windows and hopefully get you to believe you’re running a Mac. Of course, you’ll still have to fend off crashes on your own. I don’t know of any product that helps with that.
Other options that this site highly recommends are either A) save up for a real Mac or B) just run Linux and get much of the same look for free. If you are running Windows, however, and either of the two options we’ve put forth aren’t feasible then CNET’s article may be right up your alley.
