58 Webcartoonists, 58 different pages, and 1 book for 1 great charity. Read all about The Kid’s Book Project behind the cut!
The Kid’s Book Project is the brainchild of U.K. author Mike Rouse-Deane. Since he’s the writer, here’s his explanation of this ambitious project:
“The Kid’s Book Project is a children’s book containing artwork from over 50 webcomic artists who all contribute one page within the story of the book. Each artist has no help other than to see the page previous their own and has to continue it. There are two groups, one that is making its way from page 1 onwards and one making their way from page 58 backwards.”
Of course, the entire purpose of this project is to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They’re the fine folks who do wonderful work with terminally ill children, and you can learn more about them at their homepage.
The book will be shipping out by year’s end, but you can pre-order your copy today. Just think, for less than $20 (actually $18 and some change for U.S. buyers), you’ll get a great book featuring some of the best webcomic creators today, and you’ll be helping out a fantastic charity. Order several, they’ll make excellent after-holidays gifts!
