    NeoOffice 2.2.1 Available for Download
Posted by Migo on Aug 29th, 2007

Those of you running Mac OS X might be interested to know that a new version of NeoOffice is available for download. The OS X office suite, based of OpenOffice.org 2.2.1, carries some pretty impressive features:

    • support for Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files
    • support for Macros in Excel Files
    • No X11 required
    • International keyboard support

There’s also some features that one would expect in office software that apparently had been absent until now.

    • Use of OS X native

    • Spell Checker
    • Address Book
    • fonts
    • Printing support
    • copy/paste support
    • drag-and-drop support
    • Native Aqua menus

While it may still be lacking in a couple of areas (like video, plug-in, or applet support), it’s free and should definitely fit the needs of most home Mac users.
