Last week, we reported that the iPhone was believed to cause problems on the wireless network of Duke University, this doesn’t seem to be the case though.
Tracy Futhey, Duke’s chief information officer, put out a statement on Duke University’s news site July 20th to set things straight. This stated that Cisco worked with both Apple and Duke University to identify and correct the problem, going on to say that earlier reports from both the Duke site and others, our site included, are inaccurate.
So, to iPhone owners that were sweating bullets over our report, crisis averted. You can go on with your phone-based browsing and long-distance calling uninterrupted.
