Inspired by the $100 laptop, Swedish company Medison is taking orders for their $150 laptop, the Celebrity. It’s not the best laptop in the world, but you could definitely do a lot worse for $150 USD.
According to the FAQ page it also comes with a 1-year warranty and is usually delivered in between four to six weeks. The only way to purchase one of these puppies, however, is via the website, but at least the transaction is secure.
You may not be able to buy one of the $100 “Green Machines” just yet, but this is pretty close and a little better on the hardware.

If nothing else, this should prove beyond a doubt the existance of the “Microsoft Tax” when purchasing a new laptop…

Hey dude, be careful on that one.
I moderated the Fat Wallet discussion on the same deal, and many of the users were skeptical the deal was 100 percent legit. But some of the users ordered the laptop just in case it was too good to pass up, so who knows?
I’ll be sure to let you all know as soon as I hear of someone getting an ordered laptop.
Just a heads-up.
