Your comic guy Richard here, to talk about a very important subject - me, or rather, my project.
For the past couple of months, I’ve been competing in Dimestore Production’s Small Press Idol. Its a contest, much like American Idol, only there’s no singing involved (a blessing when it comes to me, thankfully) and the prize, instead of a record deal, is a comic book mini-series published exclusively by Dimestore.
The name of my game is Pierced, a comic project I’ve been working on for some time - and the results have been nothing short of astonishing! Our hero Garth Percy is minimum-wage gas station attendant until the imaginations of a small town full of children transform him into something wicked. Now, the only way to prevent the transformation from fact to fiction is to solve the mystery behind the vanishing of children throughout the town.
You can see our character art and profiles for Round 2 here. In order to vote, just register for the forums and then reply to the Round 2 Thread with YES in the message body, and whatever comments you might have. If you have any trouble, e-mail Ian@dimestoreproductions.com.
That’s it for me. Expect more comic book goodies soon, including a Spider-Man 3 review over the weekend as well as the up-and coming comic list Tuesday!
