Since November, everyone has awaited the release of the next version of the wunderkind Linux distribution, Ubuntu, myself included. Well, today marks the day when version 7.04, a.k.a. “Feisty Fawn”, has been released as a stable version.
Those of you running Ubuntu 6.10 can upgrade via the Upgrade Manager , the rest of you will have to download the CD (sorry Dapper fans). Versions 6.06 and below cannot upgrade, but a clean install is required. Unless, of course, you upgrade to 6.10 and then 7.04 which would be a little bit of work. For those interested in the automatic updates, information can be found here.
Right now, we don’t have a review of the new operating system, but we’ll get a “first impressions” review out within the week.
