Hello, everyone!
This is Richard Pulfer from “Hector!” (expect updates in the perpetually soon category) and these are my comic picks for the week of April 18th.
Keep in mind this list is formed on the basis on nothing more than my opinion and it is by no means a complete one. If there’s any comics you especially want kept updated about, let me know and I’ll be sure to post them.
The penultimate issue of 52 - 51 - is released this week. If you are so fortunate as to not have a subscription to 52 - feel free to go out a buy it. Meanwhile, if you did make the mistake of getting a subscription, like me, you accept there’s a long wait involved.
Personally, my DC money’s on Justice Society of America #5 (with a badass Sand on the cover!). I’m already two issues behind, but this comic NEVER fails to impress me. With plenty of Kingdom Come connections involved in particular this story arc, its one you certainly don’t want to miss!
There’s not really that much of interest on the Marvel’s side this week. Personally, I am following Silent War, which finds the Inhumans in dire straights - Black Bolt is about to be betrayed by Medusa, who is apparently under the control of BB’s treacherous telepathic brother, Maximus. The cover shows him screaming - that’s never good.
That’s all for this week. Again, if there’s anything you think I missed, let me know. I stayed in the mainstream Marvel/DC line for this introductory post, but if there’s something in Dark Horse, Image, alternative, underground or even Manga, drop me a line at rdpulfer@gmail.com.
See ya next week!
