FOX — y’know, that television network that thinks Family Guy is the pinnacle of comedy — announced that it will launch a MMORPG based on one of its most valued franchises — Firefly. That’s right, the sci-fi epic loved by nerds folks worldwide that the network yanked before it completed its first season will be coming to your PC. There’s no news as of yet if it will take place during the show’s time period or what characters you can play as. Rest assured, though, you’ll probably see plenty of WASH3475’s and such running about the galaxy.

This could be exciting. Instead of calling strangers “gay n00b” in the fantasy setting of WoW, you can now call them “gay n00b” in outer space. Joss Whedon must be proud of the possibilities.
