This has been quite a ten-day period for new releases. First Microsoft trots out IE7, then Adobe unveils Flash 9 for Linux, then Firefox 2.0 goes final, and just today it’s learned that the latest rendition of Ubuntu, version 6.10 (”Edgy Eft”) is now out of beta and ready for public consumption.

Yesterday, BitTorrent announced agreements with asian hardware manufacturers ASUS, Planex, and QNAP. The companies will release several of their new products with BitTorrent pre-installed. This will cut down the time it takes to download torrents on the hardware.
