Now here’s a classic style comic that could be right up anyone’s alley. Adlib is mainly about the artist’s personal experiences, but it jumps around with off panel animal slaughter, monks distracted from meditation by thoughts of sex, etc. I don’t want to give too much away, since the archive is small. Still, what’s available is good stuff; the humor is very solid.
As for the art, while the grays can be a bit hard to see at time, it’s still a very pleasant, attractive style. Reminiscent of a good newspaper comic, yet with enough variety to keep the reader busy, the art is a real hook, and grabs your attention. Tevong draws such cute doomed little animals, too. They’re just darling despite the tragedy that befalls them. Awww.
For a newer comic, this one gets high marks. You manages to produce a good quality comic, but that little archive can be a bit disappointing. You’ll be left wanting more.
