Not to be out done by bigger cities like NYC, Paris, Boston, Philidelphia, and San Francisco, the county of Washtenaw, MI is expecting to have county-wide wireless by 2007. As of August 3rd the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners had approved the Wireless Washtenaw Advisory Board�s recommendation of 20/20 Communications as the preferred partner for the project. This seems to be a great step in bringing free or low-cost WiFi to the masses. I’m still waiting for worldwide WiFi, myself. Soon…
