A new wednesday, a new batch of comics in which to run your cheeto-encrusted fingertips across praying for a Supergirl-in-a-bikini panel. I’ll let you know the cream of the crop to expect this upcoming comic day.

52 week 16: Buster Gold is dead. Well, as dead as you can be in the DC universe. Black Adam is….getting hitched to Isis? Break out the shotguns, that was damn quick. He must’ve knocked her up. Our Kahndaqi Leader also gets a couple pages that brushes over his origin.

Blue Beetle #06: The best description I could find for this? Jaime Reyes figures out his suit has a secret. Oh, really? I’ll be damned. I never would’ve thought a super suit from outerspace wouldn’t be a bit secretive. Thanks, DC. Despite the shitty description I found, I really love this title. I don’t know much about the Ted Kord era of Blue Beetle-ism or anything, but, I do very much so enjoy the work they’re doing here, and it’s low enough in numbers for anyone to pick up. A very fun, and not as dark and grim, yet not too cheesy title. Read it everyone. I’ll post a full review on this for sure at the end of the week.

Flash- The Fastest Man Alive #03: The Newest Flash, reluctant to assume the role thusfar, suits up for his first trip in the big red jammies. The thing is: He’s got competition as Keystone’s key hero. I don’t read much flash, but I’ve told myself I’ll give this one ten issues before I pass a serious judgement. So far, I like it damn well. Bart Allen hopefully will make up for his somewhat annoying past with this title.

Justice League Of America #01: A brand new volume of JLA and just in time. I’ll start this new volume with you, fellow readers, and hopefully will not be dissapointed being as it will be my first jaunt into the JLA. All I know is: Triumphant return of the holy DC trinity of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. All you hardcore fans of the DC behemoths pick it up. In fact, everyone should pick it up if they’ve never read it. Start it with me, it’ll be a party. We’ll have tea.

Daredevil #088: Matt Murdock is fresh out of prison, the civil war is in full effect, and last issue told us that Foggy Nelson was indeed not dead. Quite monumentous. How will Marvel follow up one of the most popular and interesting comics it has? Well, we learn the Secret Life of Foggy Nelson in this issue. I do believe we’ll all be very happy with it. New readers: go back a few issues to catch up on the Daredevil in Prison storyline and prepare for a treat.

Ultimate Spiderman #099: We continue in the clone saga! Two issues two weeks in a row? Not bad, not bad. Possibly to make fans happy for fear of hating the story line. All we know now? Mary Jane is kidnapped, Gwen Stacy returned, and a…Spiderwoman? Damn. Read it, kids.

New Avengers #023: Now, Brian Michael Bendis writes this. He is a legend. And I must say, the first year and a half of this comic pretty much well sucked. But since the start of the Civil War, this title has picked up amazingly as it primarily concerns the activies of Captain America, now running rogue from the government and the registration act. This one however, covers the activities of Jessica Drew, the most recent Spiderwoman and agent for SHIELD (and double agent for Hydra). Civil War fans should pick it up for a good tie in.

That’s it, run to the store, buy these and anything else you think is good, because hey, comics are good for your bones. They have potassium.
